![]() I actually don't "farm" them (from flies and such). I started to not farm health potions and to see how far I got. ![]() Last few games I've played, I haven't seen plate mail until really freaking deep in the game (demon halls).Īnyway, not sure what my next challenge is going to be now. I noticed that platemail seems to be very rare these days too. On a side note, I found out that the eye doesn't summon worms if you are zapping it with wands, AND every attack as an assassin is a stealth sneak attack. I think I had something like 3 wands of lightning, 1 firebolt, 1 disintegration, 1 flock and 1 poison. Level 23, 18 strength, +9 venomous longsword, +7 (I think?) splintmail/rogue garb of metabolism, +4 ring of shadows, +2 ring of power, and you really don't want to know how many wands I found. Finished assassin/rogue at game #82 (on this device - got a new phone a few months back, so in 82 games I've finished all four classes). Just figured I'd share before I head down into the demon halls.Īnd that's all four. He didn't even have the opportunity to take a swing at me. I hit him with slowness, then quite literally beat his ass into submission. I hit him with Amok, he then proceeded to take out the skeleton. Walked into the room with the dwarf king, he managed to summon the first skeleton while I ran over to the right pedestal. Went back up to the dwarf halls to finish it out, ended up finding a Wand of Amok on L19 in a crystal chest along with another scroll of upgrade which went on the Ring of Haste. Opened up my scroll holder, popped the two scrolls of upgrade on it to uncurse it and bring it up to +6. Much to my glee, it happened to identify out to be. Out popped an "onyx ring", which I proceeded to identify. I took a hike back down about 6 levels to the second of two transmutation wells and tossed it in. Wand of Slowness +2 (from the wand maker)įound the Imp, he gave me a cursed Ring of Power +4. Unless/until you have some seriously high power gear, farming bats is not a very realistic task.Chilling Battle Axe +6 (used one of the transmutation wells with a scroll of upgrade on this) Though, not always possible to beat Goo without a little health boost. ![]() It is obvious at that point which potion is health as it will at that point be the most plentiful one you've encountered (your inventory + shop inventory). There is almost always one or more for sale. If you can manage to make it all the way to the first shopkeep before discovering which potion is a health potion, you can buy them cheaper. This is particularly useful for the Huntress as she gets a bonus to her HP returned from a dew drop. An added side effect is finding enough seeds to hopefully brew a few potions. And each fly has a chance of dropping a health potion.Īnother method I've seen that can be beneficial is having a wand of regrowth and harvesting the dew drops (to hold off on needing to eat as often, for example). The health also seems to translate over to the spawn, thus the lower damage weapon will yield more flies. Any ill effects seem to translate to the new fly, which is why enchantments are not the best idea, as you want to have the chance to strike the new fly before it can die of ongoing-damage (so that it will split off and form a new enemy). A melee hit will cause a fly that has not reproduced, to reproduce. Using a low damage weapon seems to be ideal with the flies, as well as one that is not enchanted. You'd need to be strong enough to survive a long encounter with flies.
